Email Delivery Issues
If you're not receiving emails, follow these steps to diagnose the issue.
Step 1 — Check MX Records
Your domain's MX records must point to our mail servers.
dig MX yourdomain.com +short
Expected:
10 mail.techtemple.au
Step 2 — Check Spam/Junk Folder
Many email clients automatically filter emails into Spam. Check your Junk folder and mark legitimate emails as "Not Spam".
Step 3 — Check Email Account Quota
If your mailbox is full, new emails will be rejected.
- Log in to cPanel → Email Accounts
- Check the storage usage for each account
- Delete old emails or increase the quota
Step 4 — Verify the Sender's Email
Ask the sender to check their bounce notifications. A bounce message will tell you exactly why delivery failed.
Common Bounce Codes
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 550 | Mailbox does not exist |
| 552 | Mailbox over quota |
| 421 | Server temporarily unavailable |
