Getting Your Domain EPP or Auth Code

An EPP code, also called an auth code, is used to transfer a domain to another registrar.

Before requesting a code

  • Make sure the domain is eligible for transfer.
  • Confirm the registrant email address is correct.
  • Check whether domain lock or transfer lock needs to be disabled.
  • Make sure you understand any expiry or renewal impact before transferring.

How to request it

Open the domain in ttportal and check the domain security or transfer section. If the code is not available in the portal, open a support ticket with the domain name.

Keep it private

Treat an auth code like a password for the transfer process. Only share it with the registrar you are transferring to.
